Asiea Naqash stresses on expediting Hazratbal-Buchpora road widening | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 11 (KNO) : Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health, Medical Education and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash today convened a meeting) to review the progress of road projects in the Hazratbal constituency along with widening of Hazratbal-Buchpora road here today. The meeting was attended by ADC Srinagar, Poornema Mittal, Chief Engineer, R&B Kahmir, Nisar Ahmad, Superintendent Engineer, Circular Road Srinagar, Mushtaq Ahmad Shagoo, Executive Engineer R&B Kahmir, Showket Ahmad AEE’s and other officials of Roads & Buildings Department (R&B) .

During the meeting, the Minister was briefed by the officials about the current year's action plan. The Minister sought details about the widening of Hazratbal-Buchpora road project, including the current status of indentation and the proposed removal of bottlenecks present around the site. During the meeting, concerned officials informed the Minister that the acquisition process for the same has already started and 6 cases are settled and the rest cases will be settled soon. Asiea called for laying special focus on development infrastructures and constant perusal for completing the procedural formalities resulting in early start of proposed projects.

She asked the officials to furnish a detailed report about the projects pending for want of different formalities so as to seek an instant solution from the concerned. Asiea stressed for expediting the process of removing bottlenecks for the widening of the Hazratbal-Buchpora road. While reviewing the removal of bottlenecks at Umarhair and status of road widening at Habak Chowk, the Minister stressed for completion of these two sites on priority. She stressed on the officers for optimal use of funding and removal of bottlenecks in the projects of public importance. Asiea also asked the officers to start macadamization in the area particularly on the roads of Inderhama, Narbatapora, Wangath, Tailbal , Habbak and other link roads and stressed to ensure quality material is used in the macdamization process in the area.
